Team Flag Reps at AZ States

What an incredible weekend for disc golf in our community! The 2025 Arizona State Championships brought together some of the best talent in the state, and we couldn’t be prouder of the standout performances from our very own Flagstaff locals. The energy on the courses at McPherson Park and Little America was electric, and our hometown players showed up ready to compete.

A HUGE shoutout to our Flagstaff players who absolutely crushed it!

  • In a truly epic performance, Joshua Johnson battled back in the MP40 division with a scorching 10-under-par final round to secure the win! His amazing comeback sealed a Flagstaff podium sweep, with fellow locals Nolan Tsingine and Aaron Verhoff earning impressive 2nd and 3rd place finishes, respectively. What a moment for our city!
  • A massive congratulations to David Carolus, aka “DC,” for his hard-fought 2nd place finish in the MA40 division. It was a weekend of intense competition, and he showed incredible grit and skill to land on the podium.
  • In the MA50 division, the one and only Stacey “ThaHuckinFooligan” Briscoe brought his legendary game to the tournament, proving that experience and a killer instinct are a winning combination.
  • And let’s not forget the incredible trio from the MA3 division! Flagstaff players Derek Begay, Damian Brown, and Patrick Neese dominated the competition, securing the top three spots with a shootout for 1st and 2nd! Their hard work and talent are a true inspiration to all of us.

These results aren’t just about scores; they’re about the spirit of disc golf in Flagstaff. They show how dedicated our community is to the sport, and how that dedication translates to success on the state stage.
