A Minnesotan Just BREEZED Through a Disc Golf Round
Okay, folks, buckle up, because we’ve officially entered the realm of the truly absurd. You thought your fastest round of disc golf was impressive? Yeah, well, some Minnesotan dude named Jonathan Wolfrath just laughed in the face of leisurely strolls through the park and set a new world record for the fastest 18 holes of disc golf. And I’m not talking “jogging with a disc” fast. This guy apparently teleported between baskets.
Guinness World Records (because, of course, this is a thing they track) officially clocked Wolfrath at under five minutes. Five. Minutes. I’m pretty sure it takes me longer than that to find my lost disc in the woods after my first throw. The previous record, a positively glacial seven and a half minutes, has been utterly demolished. I can only assume the previous record holder is currently weeping into their bag of discs.
Wolfrath, clearly not content with just bending the space-time continuum of disc golf, is now aiming for the most holes played in 24 hours. Because, why not? I’m picturing him as some kind of disc golf cyborg, fueled by energy drinks and pure, unadulterated competitive spirit. He’ll probably lap the entire course while you’re still trying to figure out how to throw a backhand without injuring your shoulder.
So, I have to ask: what’s YOUR fastest round of disc golf? Was it under five minutes? No? Me neither. I’m pretty sure my fastest round involved a lot of cursing, a brief encounter with a particularly aggressive squirrel, and at least one lost disc that’s now probably part of the local ecosystem.
