Updating the Baskets in Flagstaff, AZ
Why Update the Disc Golf Baskets?
FDGC always strives to grow the sport for our great disc golf community here in Flagstaff. And we’ve got big plans.
In order to make Flagstaff a Disc Golf Destination we need to up our game on a number of levels. Our Club Members require more and consistent opportunities to compete and the PDGA regulated events require consistent equipment and course conditions.
It is our current Board Members goal to hold the Amateur World Championships in Flagstaff again in the near future. It’s also our goal to leave the forest and courses better than we were given them.
To do this we are scheduling regular course clean up and maintenance days, holding more leagues for more players, building bigger and better relationships with our community partners, and improving our courses with new equipment, holes, and tee placements.
The City of Flagstaff and Coconino County have been instrumental in their support of the Flagstaff Disc Golf Club and the disc golf community as a whole. With your support and their guidance we can improve our courses, build the sport of disc golf, and support the healthy enjoyment of our forests. Many of you reading this are already involved in the club and these activities. Thank you!
